Designing a Bow in Photoshop

In this tutorial I will show you how to use Photoshop techniques and design a beautiful bow. Hope you like this tutorial and I'm sure at the end, you can create a better version. Share your thoughts in the comments section of this post. We will be using Elipse Tool, and gradients combination of light and dark colors. Let's get started!

Final Result

Step 1

Create a new 800X500 pixels document. Use background color transparent. See the below image to check your settings.

Step 2

Using Elipse Tool draw a circle.

Step 3

Using Direct Selection Tool, Click on the circle. You will get the pointers to draw the shape below.

Step 4

Follow the previous step to draw a shape again.

Step 5

Follow step 2 and 3 again to draw the shape like the image below.

Step 6

Arrange the layers as shown below.

Step 7

Right click on Shape 1 

  • Go to blending Options
  • Click on Gradient Overlay
  • Set the Style Linear and Angle 180. See the image below to check your settings.

 

Step 8

Click on the Gradient. See the image below to set the Gradient.

Step 9

Right Click on shape 2

  • Go to blending Options
  • Click on Gradient Overlay
  • Set the Style Linear and Angle 180. See the image below to check your settings.
  • Click on Gradient. See the image below to set the Gradient values.

Step 10

Follow steps 2  and 3 to draw the shape similar to blue image as shown below.

 

Step 11

Right Click on shape 3

  • Go to blending Options
  • Click on Gradient Overlay
  • Set the Style Linear and Angle 180. See the image below to check your settings.
  • Click on Gradient. See the image below to set the Gradient values.

 

Step 12

Right Click on shape 4

  • Go to blending Options
  • Click on Gradient Overlay
  • Set the Style Linear and Angle 180. See the image below to check your settings.
  • Click on Gradient. See the image below to set the Gradient values.

 

Step 13

Using Elipse Tool, draw a circle as shown in the image below.

Step 14

Right Click on shape 5 

  • Go to blending Options
  • Click on Gradient Overlay
  • Set the Style Radial and Angle 90. See the image below to check your settings.
  • Click on Gradient.

 

Step15

Set the Gradient values as shown in the image below.

Step 16

Select all the layers and duplicate the layers.


 

 

Step 17

Right click on the duplicate layers and select Convert to Smart Object.

 

Step 18

Go to Edit =>Transform =>Flip Horizontal

 

Step 19

Adjust the Smart Object as shown in the image below.
